Poetic disaster survival film. Lots of pensive moments followed by extreme periods of helplessness at the hands of Mother Nature. Great acting, accompanied by solid cinematography. Creative plot devices to carry both the feelings of extreme desperation and isolation.

The one takes are great, the writing is wonderful and the plot points all contribute to the overall story arc. Great world building as well. Not sure how it did at the box office when it released in 2006, but I’m surprised when I hear people have never seen in. Heavily underrated film in my opinion.
