Winnie the Pooh gave me some of my earliest memories as a child and this film really brought me back to being a little kid. Hearing the same voice actor portray Pooh’s voice all these years later just really pulled at the heart strings. A lovely, warm hug of a movie. Glad Winnie the Pooh still has an audience all these years later, and that generations to come will get this film for when they too grow a little older.

Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, Kathy Bates and a bit of Rob Corddry. A cast including Oscar winners and nominees, tv stars and comedy movie mainstays. All you have to do is make a romantic comedy with them. That’s all you had to do Tom Dey and you fucked it so bad. You know what’s never been funny? Fake animal gags. How many are in this movie? Four. I thought it’d coast to an easy three stars off of the cast…

I expected a lot worse. This what honestly quite fun. CGI was good, story was pretty solid although a little underwritten but for a fast paced action flick it mostly hits it’s mark. Nothing groundbreaking but overall, not bad.

Pretty solid but it felt a little underwritten. Certain plot points come up and then never get brought up again. Still a decent watch though and a great story.

10 year anniversary. IMAX screening. Packed theatre. This movie was made for the biggest screens possible. Just unreal. Everything I’d expected and more. Every scene, every sound, every visual, every emotion just encapsulated perfectly to make a 10/10 film somehow better. When the credits rolled the whole cinema was wiping away tears and clearing throats. Spectacular.

It’s still as good as you’d remember. Despite the film feeling as long as it’s runtime, it’s a great story with lots of depth and deserving of every second.
