My second journey into Kurosawa’s filmography, as I continue to delay Seven Samurai. Kurosawa delivers again with a visually beautiful film with shots ahead of its time, and another thought provoking story.

2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
2001: A Space Odyssey is unquestionably one of the most gorgeous movies ever made. It’s almost mind boggling Stanley Kubrick was able to accomplish this in 1968. With that being said, pretty imagery and symphony music is about all this movie has in my opinion. It was so boring it was almost hard for me to finish and took two watch sessions. A movie where I can understand the praise, just not for me.
