    The Tempest

A surprisingly clever adaption of The Tempest, which is set in the swamps of the Confederate South in the midst of the Civil War. It shouldn't work, especially for a production from 1998, but the screenwriters and people behind the creative wheel were clearly very passionate about the source material and came up with some very, very clever ways to adapt the play. This was really enjoyable! It's only been released on DVD with Swedish subtitles in that area of Europe, so I'm really glad someone uploaded it to YouTube. It was a really fun watch for something on an obviously smaller budget in 1998!

    Avengers: Infinity War

It was ok at best. If Iron Man and Doctor Strange (and possibly the Guardians of the Galaxy) are your favorites, you should enjoy this. If not... well, it's not as fun a film when you spend most of a movie with characters you don't like. A lot of the hype was just that: hype. Very much a let-down.

I was playing Aumerle in a production at the time and myself and are Richard felt they should kiss there. Seeing this production during our tech week was a nice bit of validation.

Oh, and David was an excellent R2. Loved his portrayal.

I watched this on YouTube, and it's surprisingly much better than expected! In fact, if it weren't so incredibly dated I'd say it'd be a great version of The Tempest for school-age students to watch to better understand the plot. It being so dated would, sadly, make them lose interest.

Overall, it's very well acted. These are borderline caricatures of the characters; there's no depth to them, but each is boiled down to the essence of the character. The villains…
