I can’t say I truly know what the movie is about, but I think it depicts a dreamlike world from a perspective of a second rate actress in love with her costar whom could never get her to reciprocate the affection or attain her fame and chooses to end her life and we perceive a dreamlike depiction of her ideal life through a dream sequence of her saving and nurturing her loved costar back to health until she comes to the actuality that her life was never the ideal she had set forward and it was all a fabrication of her own mind.
