My parents pretty much hated this from the first frame and my little sister fell asleep for about half of the runtime, so that probably had a negative impact on my overall viewing since the vibes weren't exactly welcoming. Still, I found this movie to boast some solid laughs despite my personal viewing's circumstances. Watching Nathan Lane spit chewed deli meat onto those gremlin puppets made me literally guffaw.

The scenes of Denzel Washington charming a small Italian village are nicely juxtaposed with the ones where Denzel Washington brutally murders mob members who have been doing horrible things like hanging the elderly by their oxygen tubes. The violence is more shocking than your average Redbox rental, and the acting is better as well.

Wow. This turned out so much better than I was expecting... the premise felt a little bit like a direct-to-DVD short. The end product, however, is actually super introspective and melancholic.
