The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023
A colossal narrative, tonal and directorial miscalculation, which I suppose starts with the source material. This is a baffling film that suggests Francis Lawrence — who directed three of the four previous HUNGER GAMES films, all of which were good — forgot how to make movies. Or maybe he was just there for the paycheck, since the material has no reason to exist aside from that.
