  i put off watching this for a long time because i saw the remake when i was nine and it was A LOT for me, but i wish i had watched this sooner. It’s definitely not my favourite, but oh it has its moments. The scene where the grandpa kept dropping the sledge hammer? Iconic. So many great shots as well, especially the last two, they were so stunning, we love a good sunrise. Not to mention sally’s horrific screaming-turned maniacal screams of joy and freedom? Beautiful.
