The Last of the Mohicans 1992
There’s two films here; the one that’s about colonialism and the impacts of war is infinitely more interesting than the slap dash Fabio-cover romance novel one. There’s some stunning photography in this, but that doesn’t save it from being my least favorite Mann outing so far

This is what Morbius would be if it was actually interesting
This is unabashedly trying to be GoT and Marvel at the same time, all while being kneecapped by it’s unwillingness to actually depict the level of violence seen in its medieval inspiration, the level that was probably intended for this film, or the level befitting a film about Vlad the Impaler

Fire in the Sky 1993
Bill Pope’s cinematography in this is incredible and does a lot of work for the overall film. The lighting is moody and effective, and you can absolutely feel the similarity in the camera work in this and his collaborations with Raimi in particular
