  Am I, Am I missing something ? This was so boring and pointless.

  It's really hard for me to write a somewhat coherent review of this movie, since there is so much to unpack here.

  I think I'll start by saying this is Toshiro Mifune's last collaboration with Kurosawa. And for a last role, it is a really unique one. This time around, Mifune doesn't play a samurai, or a yakuza, or is somewhat involved in a crime thriller. He plays Red Beard, the head of a clinic of a poor town. And…
