Challengers 2024
I never wrote a review for this movie but I have to say it rocked my world so hard I was playing tennis for the entire summer and couldn’t stop listening to Friday Afternoons to feed the sadness of moving out of my apartment. Favourite of the year by far. So fascinating, sensual, energetic, exciting, and condensed into a perfect package that doesn’t overstay its welcome. All elements of filmmaking are fantastic, but the cinematography and score stick with me the most. I love a good story about relationships beginning, ending and coming back together all told through the bouncing of balls back and forth.

Office Space 1999
My girlfriend is reading a book of essays on work and labour and this movie came up in one so we watched it and enjoyed it. I don’t want to write an essay though but you totally could write a killer forum post about this movie for a first year film studies course or something.

When the little alien asks rey what her family name is it is FUNNY. Leia dies and the only one to mourn her is r2d2 who just…

The Lighthouse 2019
Every single shot was a gut wrenching picture perfectly lit and framed. This is how you do black and white. I felt like I could hang each shot up in a cottage it was tremendously engaging just to observe every little thing in each scene. I love that a movie as bold as this can succeed, I only wish there were more of them. I came expecting a beautifully shot unique film, and this is exactly what I got. I…
