  Okay, so *The Substance* is a wild ride, and not in a "fun, let’s-grab-popcorn" way. This is full-on *body horror* meets social commentary. Demi Moore absolutely *kills* it (pun intended), diving deep into this character who's desperate to reclaim her youth with a drug that literally morphs her body. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone go through so much physical transformation on screen, and it’s kinda... mesmerizing? But also *gross*, in the best possible way.

  Palm Springs 2020

  Look, I’m gonna say it: *Palm Springs* was the perfect quarantine movie. I watched this and immediately thought, “Yeah, this is what my brain feels like after two weeks of being trapped in the house.” The whole time loop concept is honestly a brilliant take on rom-coms, and it’s just weird enough to keep you on your toes. Plus, it’s got Andy Samberg doing some of his best work. Who knew he could make existential dread so funny?
