This is a dream film because it uses illusions and people's desires to manipulate what's real and what isn't. It gives the audience the indication that we have the power to change our reality. "Crows" is the most significant of the dreams in this film. The reason why is that the man was entering a world that was not real but visually artistic. It was entering the world of art. Paintings. It was the world of Van Gough's most famous paintings. Visually the cinematography helped the visual aid as we escape the real world into a new world. Allowing the audience to see what the dreamer sees. And allowing the dream to be interpreted as a way to find ourselves. That's what I gathered from it. And why I find it to be the most dreamlike of the story.

The film could be considered a dream film because it represents how the dreams give the sisters an illusion—communicating that it is the meaning of life. The film has the sisters dreaming but if it is oneiric I might have missed it because part of it seems to be. The pacing is timed due to the situation of the story, like the sister Agnes dying of cancer. The pacing for the dream sequences is part of how the sisters are trying to take care of each other and the biblical significance of it.
