I still stand by this being a way better comedy than romance, but the juxtaposition in quality was less jarring this time, so it works out.

The Golden Compass 2007
Pacing like an anxious hummingbird, manages to give zero (0) characters the depth they require, barely scratches the surface of the book thematically, and wastes all its actors on mediocre dialogue and dynamics. Never boring though, I suppose.
