    This wasn't a futuristic, philosophical, technologically interesting film that happened to include some humour and a lot of romance, it was, first and foremost, an incredibly romantic character drama irrespective of the context. It was about finding oneself and learning the meaning of love and letting go of emotional hang-ups.     The film's opening scene is indicative of it as a whole: a chicken gallivanting through the winding alleys of the Favelas, sought after by a weapon-heavy mob for some unknown and arbitrary reason.
