  This wasn't a futuristic, philosophical, technologically interesting film that happened to include some humour and a lot of romance, it was, first and foremost, an incredibly romantic character drama irrespective of the context. It was about finding oneself and learning the meaning of love and letting go of emotional hang-ups. The premise of the OSs and questions of their human identity give the film a unique and interesting perspective, but it stops there. It would be missing the point if…

  The film's opening scene is indicative of it as a whole: a chicken gallivanting through the winding alleys of the Favelas, sought after by a weapon-heavy mob for some unknown and arbitrary reason. An allegory for the insignificance and nugatory of one's life in the slums and the constant fight for survival.

  The scene ends up in a Mexican stand off-esque situation between the authority and gang in what could escalate to a brutal and bloody exchange of gunfire, and…
