  what made this movie stand out to me was arthur. we've seen the whole "invisible string","star crossed lovers" narrative a thousand times but we had never seen an arthur. him being so understanding was what made the ending so heartbreaking. also when nora met arthur in that writers retreat i was like "i hope he doesn't marry this dude because she needs to marry hae sung instead" and my mom said "why? 𝘩𝘦 didn't come to new york." (i understand why nora doesn't want to go back considering she tried so hard to immigrate in the first place)
