Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky 1991
Over the top, gory and violent martial arts prison drama where main character Ricky Ho is imprisoned for manslaughter. He has to deal with the corrupt prison wardens and the Gang of 4 who are the strongest of all inmates. His story unravels through the film. The gore is done mainly with rubber effects but they still look really cool. It won't be for everyone, but it's worth a look if you don't mind violent action. The dubbing is comedy gold and it held my attention for the 90 minutes. The only issues are the rushed pacing and lack of consistency at times.

Dragon Wars: D-War 2007
Another one I watched years ago and it's so unsubstancial, I can barely remember anything about it. Acting as wooden as a carpenters convention, a big climactic CGI action scene which still couldn't get me invested, it’s a miracle I made it to the end.
