Real good - I learned that real heroes do coke. Bill burr doing real acting was shocking but he actually did great and got to support the Red Sox LOL. It makes me want to visit Staten Island bc the ppl really felt like midwesterners with Jersey accents. I’m pretty sure Staten Island is just the Illinois suburbs if they were next to New York instead of next to basically nothing
The cuts between scenes were a bit choppy but that’s a first world problem fr

Okaaaaaay. So. Halfway through this movie I could be quoted as saying “this is a really good movie”. Then it went off the rails. The first half of the movie was like oh, what an interesting look at how capitalism drains us of agency and separates us from reality, turning the self into possessions. The dude literally says “that apartment and everything in it is me”. The whole thing is saying you need to break free with some big changes…
Very enjoyable movie to watch - I was hanging on every moment and never felt bored, even though the whole movie takes place in one room. Even though some of the plot felt contrived (every evidence could be questioned, and there actually happened to be a good guy on jury) the watch experience didn’t really suffer. Overall, it was more of a testament to how often juries would actually NOT care about reasonable doubt than how great juries are (lua and Joseph said this is how a lot of people take the movie). Still a great watch
