Most realistic depiction of rural white poverty I've ever seen; this felt more like a documentary on life in the highlands than fictitious narrative. Jesus fucking Christ. This has to be some of the best casting of any film I've seen to date, you are transported to the grittiest part of the Ozarks and forced to witness unadulterated desperation. Anyone who has lived minutely close to the conditions portrayed in this film will know how it's so close to home it's almost disgusting.

Longlegs 2024
Don’t go into this thinking it’s going to be a super-scary-jumpscare type film, it is deeply unsettling and keeps you tense the entire time. Plays on Christian religious themes regarding Satan and the Book of Revelation. It’s also stylistically very interesting in the cinematography and editing. Overall, good film but doesn’t live up to the hype, unless you’re Christian and superstitious, which would make this pretty damn horrifying.
Good theatre experience, I recommend going to watch it if you can.
