a very unique experience for horror fans and i didn’t think it did a bad job at all. while slow and the plot mostly generic, the movie can still serve beautiful scenery and cinematography despite the graphic nature of the overall film. the kills were bloody and brutal— my personal favorite being when he pushed that girl’s head through her stomach. talk about yoga.

samuel l. jackson is electric in his role, i couldn’t help but feel captivated and hanging onto every word he spoke. the writing in this film is devilishly good and while the plot jumps everywhere, it’s easy to connect the dots and i really enjoyed the closing scene to this film.
definitely a movie i’ll give a rewatch.
