Gladiator II 2024
As an archaeologist, movies set in the past that throw historical accuracy out the door really grind my gears, but like sometimes you’ve just gotta let it go and appreciate that a dude throwing axes while riding a rhino is pretty badass.
Besides the inconsistent Latin/English inscriptions throughout the movie (pick one god damnit) and the really bad and forced character growth of Lucius, I mean… eh. It was kinda fun. 🤷♂️

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim 2024
This was a very faithful and cool adaptation of a lesser-known story of Middle-Earth, I had a blast. I think Wulf being somewhat ambiguous in the books could’ve lent for a much more nuanced character than the irrational bad guy they made him, but this movie still rocked. I hope more stories and tales from Middle-Earth get faithful and interesting film adaptations!
