  Ivan's Childhood 1962

  I can feel the loss of his childhood as the consequences of war. Though he’s acting like a real brave soldier, the dreams of Ivan depict what normal kids would be doing at his age. The beginning and ending of the movie being a scene about him enjoying his life as a normal child makes its perfection. It made me feel like those scenes about the war are a bad dream(though it clearly wasn’t).
