  A stronger attempt than the original, but not by much. This instalment of the franchise hardly deviates from the first, although we do actually see our killer this time around. However, the film is still mostly packed full of those horribly constructed point-of-view kills; and when we do see Jason, it's during a chase scene which is so long winded and tedious it just feels comical.   I distinctly remember Friday the 13th being one of the first, if not the first slasher I watched when I was younger. I was expecting something ultra graphic and disgusting, and even then, as someone who was probably around ten years old, I was still disappointed. Not much has changed.
