This is a fun revenge story with some good action. Dev Patel did some things I have seen before in action movies, which is impressive! He also used a little bit too much shaky cam for my taste though, which makes me feel a little old to point out, but it’s still true. The story is intense even if the themes can can be a little close over the top in their presentation, and the light-hearted moments and well-done action more than make up for any quibbles.

If you can get past a pretty wild premise (not so much the hand itself - this is a horror movie after all - but the characters’ reactions to it,) this is a good time with a satisfying conclusion.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
The hype train was going full speed by the time I saw Everything, and I suppose subconsciously that could have had an effect on my thoughts, but I don't feel like it did.
I did enjoy the movie, on the whole. There's certainly something to be said for its originality, especially as it relates to handling a "multiverse." The editing is also pretty top notch, though I can definitely understand that some find it frenetic and showy.

Kristen Stewart is as good as advertised, and this is certainly a well-made film. It may be that I can’t connect to the material because I have very little Royal knowledge, but it was just a slog for me. With a runtime of just 2 hours, I wouldn’t have expected it to feel so interminable, but it really did.
