Glen Powell megastars this middling movie into something better than its Reddit-Brained premise. He’s the real deal Hollywood-field.
In the seventies or eighties he would have been somewhere between Harrison Ford and Michael Biehn.
But he was born in the nineties with a perfect jaw, body and timing. So I guess I’ll have to watch him be indispensably charismatic in Ant Man 4: Simply Too Many Ants!
I’m not sure every bit lands as it was intended to. Or adds up.
Hilary Swank seems underused. And her little rat tail of a hanging epilogue feels more like screenwriting trick than an actual final moment of earned suspense as the credits roll.
But who can complain when every scene is so fun and every performance so sloppy with sauce? I had a blast watching this flick. Nice to see Daniel Craig with tits.
