  the first half is somewhat messy, it takes its time to establish its themes and cast of characters. theres 1-2 shots that took me out of it, lots of cheesy lines and a couple moments with a questionable score. not all of the themes get fleshed out completely to their conclusion 

  that being said, this is such an ambitious director debut that all my complaints r overshadowed by how fucking fun this was to watch. the action really picks up…
