I did not enjoy this as much as I enjoyed Female Trouble—it is a very rough film and sometimes goes on and on with its scenes (this was an issue with Female Trouble as well).
Nevertheless, the absurdity of the film is matched with its provocative imagery and just the sheer audacity of even filming it is great.
A special mention has to goto that lobster - i did not know lobsters can be imagined to do such an act.
So many characters, and yet this film is in no way close to being as funny or heartwarming as the original one.
Lokesh is one of those recent/young Tamil cinema director who hides his lack of skill within staging of non-stop violence (inspired by Tarantino et. al.), the charm of their lead actors (Rajini, Kamal, Vijay) and the loud/repetitive background music score (by Anirudh).

The movie is contrived, convenient and exploitative - its almost like these film makers are looking for sensitive material happening in real life to just exploit them on screen.
On top of that, the filmmakers employ the trickery of cinema to cheat the audience into thinking they are watching a smart screenplay - how is that good film making ? (too many plot holes and conveniences).
