  Dora Madison is sexy and alluring enough that the fact this is essentially the story of a middle/upper class artist’s struggle to finish her painting doesn’t really stain my impression of it. In this case, style beats substance.

  In my mind, I assumed the original Borat would have been overcome by a change in sensitivity and that the same outrageousness would apply here. Yes, there are some cringe moments (I’m looking at you moon blood) but this is actually quite sweet and a lot more traditional in terms of narrative structure. It was funny, too, but I was expected a harder edge. Still it worked well. Was good, I like.

  Hilarious but also complete nonsense. Reminded me of the raw first album that you’ve never heard but just assumed was really good until you listened to it and realised it was just the same as their shit later stuff. But you still liked it, kinda.

Following
