  Fascinating and haunting, this movie is both educational and entertaining in equal measure. I can only hope the forthcoming Steve Jobs film might be as good. It treats its audience with respect, as intelligent viewers.

  Is this a movie about the man or a movie about the experiment? Is it trying to educate its audience about his life, or his work? I came away from the experience knowing a little bit more about both.

  But it also left me questioning…

  Guardians of the Galaxy 2014

  It has felt like an endless stream of equally identically entertaining superhero movies -- from X-Men to Avengers, Fantastic Four and all the origin movies of Captain America, Wolverine, Iron Man and his sequels... at some point, a non-comic film fan ceases to care about the fantastic processional. Fortunately, Guardians of the Galaxy was both refreshing as an origin story and appealing to my own [apparently] quirky fictional sensibilities.
