Watching this made me mad that I have no one to play DnD with so I’ll buy a starter set and stare at it until someone comes along.
I was surprised at how much fun this movie was, and how well it captured that balance of “dicking around” and “high stakes role-playing” that only DnD can produce. And the cast was fantastic.
The only issue, the O N L Y issue I have: Michelle Rodriguez shouldn’t have been the one to have that big, emotional moment at the end. Even she seemed uncomfortable acting it out. Rough.
