  I watched most of this with my jaw wide open. I couldn't stay still, I couldn't sit normal, I couldn't pull my eyes away even once. This is Movies. This is why Movies was made.

  It is bizarre. It is gory and gruesome. It is extremely horny the whole way through. It's got trans furries. It is everything I need from movies.

  Make me feel like I've never felt before, I'm begging you.

  Somehow, all the non-Godzilla Toho films I've seen (from the ever-popular Godzilla and Friends list) have been quite lacking. There's some exceptions (first half of Rodan was amazing, first half of Varan was oddly striking, Frankenstein Conquers the World was alright, Latitude Zero was Genuinely Enjoyable), but not until now has an Actually Good One come along. Not a masterpiece by any stretch, but a loving kaiju film nonetheless, complete with aliens trying to conquer the Earth via enlarged sea-life and a tortoise whose neck stretches out to attack people. Beautiful, beautiful movie.
