There’s a weight and exhaustion that comes with viewing this one that I haven’t experienced in a while. Not only is the character’s development and promise as an architect with a second chance an uphill battle, but after the intermission there are crumbling defeats and truths about the American dream and trauma that create worsened conditions to fight through which can also leave the viewer exhausted.
