I was swept up with the growing unease building over shots of everyday life and the early on-the-ground footage of the deadly outbreak.
But the latter half has no faith at all in its audience. It's entirely "now I'll remind you why that's scary by explicitly stating it out loud" and "ooh, did you hear that clue? let me flashback to earlier in the movie when that was first mentioned" to a degree I've never seen before.
