(I watched The Final Cut)
While I didn't find the plot to be compelling, everything else about this movie is absolutely awe inspiring.
The art direction, set design, world building, score, atmosphere, and the themes are stellar. I haven't seen a world so filthy since Se7en or maybe The Batman 2022. I'll definitely be rewatching this movie just for the vibes.

I wish it went deeper into the actual badminton matches. A lot of the times they are just glanced over. Plus there are no basketball matches AT ALL. I get it's trying to focus on the romance but come on bro don't hype up a match and then hard cut to "He lost" or "He won".
I liked Mickey 17. It was a really fun watch from a director that I and so many really respect.
But it had some notable flaws. The main one being, it was simultaneously 30 min too long and an hour too short. There were so many characters and so many themes in the movie but it underdevelops all except the titular character.
