  It's simply a perfect sci-fi horror monster flick all wrapped into one. Seeing this as a kid set me off on an obsession with finding other movies like it. It led me to things Event Horizon and Europa Report and even more obviously Prometheus.   "Deep down they are just like us. No beginning, no end. Only this moment exists for them. Do they know this? Do they remember how they got here? Do they communicate with each other other? Are they trapped or free? Do they have a thousand thoughts, or just one?"

  This is a really fun low budget Gothic horror. It has a phenomenal mix of styles, a great soundtrack, and has some interesting twists and turns. I'm surprised this isn't talked about more.
