  What a pleasant surprise this movie was! Heartwarming, funny, touching, with a story and style that keep you involved throughout. All thr voice actors turn in fantastic performances. Some turns of the story are obvious, but executed very well spent you don't mind. Other turns, however, will still catch you by surprise.

  20 minutes of this should have been left on the cutting room floor. Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe are wasted and bring nothing to the movie. Their scenes could be completely cut with no impact. If all you want is Keaton being beetlejuice, you'll be happy. But this is not a Beetlejuice movie. The main plot is Jenna Ortega and the boy she meets.   I love Sweeney Todd, which is why I hate this movie so much. Neither Johnny Depp nor Helena Bonham Carter can swing worth a flip, both story and songs are butchered at the altar of runtime, and it's Tim Burton indulging in all his worst impulses. Alan Rickman is the only good part of the movie and the only reason it gets even a half star.

  I have never come closer to throwing up than I have with this movie. I audibly gagged. A gross-out horror thriller at its...best? The story keeps you going to the end, and the payoff there was ultimately worth the journey.
