Humorous, charming, and superbly acted. Sure, it doesn't get too gritty, and it doesn't ham-up the inevitable seperate-and-reunite climax, but I think that is what makes this so watchable. I like a film that doesn't feel a need to be more than it should.

I couldn't work out until afterwards why the dialogue seemed a bit odd: a bit stunted and often emotionally stating things a film would normally have left unsaid. Then I realised that it felt like watching a play, because it was adapted from stage and that really comes through, also in how the scenes do not directly link together.
In spite of its average cinematography, thematically I found it thought-provoking, in the way that plays are meant to be (more often than films).

Robin Williams at his best. Incredibly spontaneously funny, as he so often is. The plot's fine, although probably the only gripe I can remember from the whole film, apart from the completely forgivable fact that it looks distinctly '90s, is that Pierce Brosnan's character is not in any way tied up at the end.

I disliked the characters. The plot was meaningless. It looked nice in the last last half hour.
