  this was my first time watching hamilton. i didn’t know what to expect since it was a pro shot, but it was executed really well! the mics were definitely on, and the shots were edited in a way that allowed us to see the full stage for the dancing while also capturing the actors’ emotions up close.

  painful. 

  if you’re gonna do a musical, might as well go all out and make it as theatrical as possible esp if there’s already a blueprint? instead we got a toned down, monotone cringefest

  but tbh, the songs aren’t strong enough to make it good even if they did make it as theatrical as possible. last good movie musical was prob tick tick boom. and we know that couldn’t reach mainstream bc it has to be marketed as a musical…
