  green. the purity of green. the harmony and tranquility of green that reminds you of a fading memory from your childhood of you around the dark green bush. this film gives you that exact feeling. hirokazu kore-eda's ethereal film never failed to trigger my emotions for a minute, with its peaceful atmosphere and even its jarring moments that manage to be so tender at the same time. at the end of the day, Maborosi feels like a very cold glass of water; simple but fulfilling and refreshing, leaving you with a very bad cold that lasts for days.
