At the end of the film, nothing could have been more convenient for Francois. This film is nothing which it depicts on the surface. Varda must have mocked the traditional, patriarchal nature of our society. Great film to think about.

The end scene where the annulment of Dean and Cindy’s martiage, and the probable divorce talks between them are shown linearly, one after another. Absolutely breaks my heart but chef's kiss for that amazing storytelling moment.
