I remember hearing about this happening during the Berlin 1972 Olympics. Showing it from the news perspective was an interesting way to see how rumors and news passes down to eventually get aired. The stat of “900 Million people watched” and it being the first terrorist situation being televised shows how important it was in history but also shows the lows news companies will go to be the first to report on breaking news, without taking consideration into the magnitude…

I got to watch it again today for its 10th anniversary in IMAX. Getting to see this in a theater like people had the opportunity to in 2014 made me appreciate it even more. This only reinforced my opinions about its excellence, cinematography, and its score. One of the four movies that will always get a perfect score from me.

Dev Patel masterclass. For it being his directorial debut this movie was amazing. It depicted the challenges that the slums of India face due to the greed of the upper class and the means people go through to get money. Some of the kills in this were so creative. The 151 Rum feature by JID in the wallet scene got me hype, but my favorite scene was the tabla scene when Dev’s character was learning how to fight using the Rice bag, such a cool scene.
