The cast mostly, everyone but Eric Dane to be specific, does as well as possible with what they are given. Their efforts, especially Jimmie Fails, are completely wasted. Unfortunately, what they are given is just bunch of lazy jokes thrown at them with the most overdone needledrops. Visually dull, poorly directed, painfully unfunny script that doesn't bother with anything like characters or even it's own lazy wacky comedy LA's workings. Just a waste of time... in a year that already has multiple romcom horror hybrids that do it far far better.

The Apothecary Diaries 2023
Updated rating to full 5 stars, now that I have seen every episode (so far, S2 is only about halfway through).
Always clever with some amazing subtle character writing and brilliant small details in the animation. Something truly special is a sea of copy/paste shit in both imported anime and domestic live action mystery series.

More movies should feature soulless corporate drones representing uncaring rich bastards being murdered. Doesn't have to be in the woods. It could be in a car or train. On a plane or in the plains. On a boat in a moat. Anywhere really.
