Grave of the Fireflies 1988
This is the best war movie I’ve ever seen. Films like Saving Private Ryan and Schindlers List are good films that really showcase the scale of the horrors of world war 2, but Grave of the Fireflies is downright intimate by comparison. By choosing to focus the story entirely on two orphaned siblings trying to survive in war torn Japan.
