    In the Lost Lands

    ★★★

The 15 year old in me was punching the air. This a very pulpy genre film with a plot that over-leverages the short story on which it is based.

The flow is choppy and it looks like it was made on a shoestring budget. I had a lot of fun watching this film but that’s just because I really
    enjoy campy b-grade content.

    Nosferatu

    ★★★★★

I find many people who think that Nosferatu was a drag. I think it’s a function of mismatched expectations given how many audiences are new to horror and are weaned on the Conjuring.

This is a slow burn horror film which hearkens back to the 1922 expressionist original.

It uses light, saturation, and quiet music to create a sense of palpable dread, and a feeling of the macabre and unnerving which spans across the entire film.

You know that Count Orlok, the titular Nosferatu, is coming and there’s very little to be done to stop it.

    My favourite film of 2025.

Zombeavers is a film which answers the popular question - if you were bitten by a zombie beaver, then would you become a zombie beaver too?
    (Yes)

The dialogue is actually quite good; it’s consistently entertaining and will definitely appeal to genre fans. I haven’t laughed (or groaned) this hard in a horror comedy since Sharknado.

It is truly one of the movies of all time.

Krull is one of my all-time favourite films. It’s delightfully campy and filled to the brim with tropes. Liam Neeson plays an extra. Watch and enjoy the nostalgic 80s trip.
