Now we know why the release date of this movie was postponed several times, Warners and Bong Joon Ho were fighting for their own versions.
Its script and mundane dialogs plus silly, ridiculous shenanigans as they point to the current environment & government in power seemed very on the nose and totally ineffective - I mean this director as a master of social commentary, unjust human made classes completely failed to deliver the message.

One of the few movies with singing in it that I love and besides I have a tremendous respect for Julie Taymor, the theatrical genius.
Evan Rachel Wood is amazing here after how well she performed for another female auteur filmmaker in Kajillionaire.

Flashbacks after Flashbacks after - you guessed it, Flashbacks .... accompanied by the annoying voice of Jon Voight (w/ a stupid accent) - a man hated by all mostly by his daughter and I.
Also, I resent everything about no-talent Quaid family and specially do not get the hype over Jack Quaid who's ugly as shieße.

All this did for me beside making my ears hurt and giving possible nightmares when I go to bed was to bring fond memories from a bizarre Swedish film called Sound of Noise, 2010.
