  I have been rewatching the Alien franchise and have decided to change this from 5 start is 4.5. It is an excellent film, but leans more towards the action genre and doesn’t quite have the same feel as the first installment. Don’t get me wrong, I love this movie. It would be a 5 for me, but I like the first one better so it feels wrong to have them both the same rating.

  I have watched through this franchise many times. While this may not be my favorite installment, there are many aspects I appreciated. One of which was the scenes we get to see from the POV of the Xenomorph. However, while I suppose necessary, I still can’t get over the fact that Newt dies in hyper sleep after everything  they overcame in the previous film to ensure her survival.
