  IMAX, PLEASE… release the full-frame version on Blu-Ray for those of us who missed the theatrical run. Otherwise the 4k disk is perfect, but getting proper sound is ideal. Wasn’t expecting to come out of this rewatch feeling equal about both films, but here we are. #Dune-pilled4L

  goddamn they use that low angle wide to DEATH. maybe the nature of this being a prequel means suspense takes a back seat, but that’s easily my favorite part of the other movies :’( nothing felt like it was urgently demanding my attention outside of a few scenes, but i consider this to be an entertaining glimpse back into the franchise.

  fuck, this is so good. here’s a similar feeling i got watching Worst Person, in the way everything feels self-assuring, but the reality behind it feels so cold & intensely sad. this film lives and breathes in a different time and it feels so fresh. the style & commitment to it is unreal, even down to the opening credits. i even thought it sounded like a 70s recording ?!? there isn’t a single thing i don’t have immense praise for. i promise this is worth your time & patience.
