  Yeah I watched Sing Street again, it’s my birthday. 

  It’s simultaneously the most realistic movie of all time while having traces of fantasy throughout. But isn’t that life? Life kinda sucks a lot of the time - the world is a sad and dark place. Yet, there’s traces of beauty and love and grace throughout. 

  Chase your dreams, folks. Anything can be a vocation.

  Nah… tennis is just tennis. 

  This was probably never gonna be a film for me, I get that. But I find it immature, shallow, predictable, and overlong. It’s hyper-stylized and the only reason it’s a 2 and not lower is because of the sometimes great camera work. 

  And, unpopular opinion yada yada, the score was incredibly annoying.

  Happy-sad really is the best way to describe it. I’m on the verge of happy tears the entire second half of the movie.
