The Wizard of Oz 1939
I’ve seen this film many many times but I rewatched it because I wanted to understand what little Shannon loved so much about it and I’m re-learning that this film is pure magic and beautifully whimsical. It’s such a good mix of eeriness, suspense, and fun! I can remember watching with pure awe at the world and now watching it and seeing it’s clearly painted sets makes me wish I had the eyes I had as child! I will continue to rewatch this film time and time again just to feel that bit of magic!

Heretic 2024
I would say this movie was decently creepy and stood out from most horror/thrillers I’ve seen. The conversation it started on religion was quite interesting but it got a little cheesy for my taste toward the end (I could be biased cause I’m lactose intolerant). I think it’s worth a watch but it wasn’t like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

A Real Pain 2024
I watched this a few weeks ago and realized that I must’ve never seen Kieran Cullen in anything because I had no clue he was capable of playing such a character and I think his recent Oscar win was well deserved. The film doesn’t focus on the Holocaust but it highlights it beautifully and focuses on the people and relationships rather than the place and situation which I loved!

Such a girl coded movie!!! Just a young woman doing what she’s gotta do to make money and looking fabulous while doing it. She is a dreamer who doesn’t know what she wants but knows her current life isn’t it and that is so relatable. Catch me dreaming into the windows of Tiffany & co in NY!!
