So so good. Didn’t feel like a parody of Belfast people the way series often do. The acting was insane, Anthony Boyle and his moustache acted their hoops off and I admittedly now have a crush on Brendan Hughes🤧.
I struggled with Maxine Peake’s attempt at the accent a bit but overall highly recommend, can’t wait to read the book.
And it goes without saying, fuck Gerry Adams.

My nerves were shot that whole film.
I really want to be able to play the drums and this made me want to have a go bashing the symbols even more. Also I could be extremely biased, this could’ve been absolute dog shite and I would’ve scored it high purely because Miles Sexy Teller is in it.
(Side note I could not stop getting distracted by the baldness of J.K Simmons like it truly had my full attention anytime his round shiny loaf was on screen).

I can’t understand how there is still such a stiff air that surrounds the topic of periods. This film shares the experiences of three individual women that are sadly so relatable to so many women. It does this in a manner that feels warm and safe, bringing in light touches of humour that made me smile. It captures girlhood in a beautiful way…
